Your mental health is our priority, yet we aren't qualified to council you
We are the best in the business when it comes to your physical health and training. We even know that physical exercise is proven to improve depression and anxiety. We have also made ourselves available day and night to be your personal support system when you need it. BUT, we are not licensed clinical counselors, and we aren’t pretending to be. Since your health and well being are our top priority, we partnered with a professional in this field, and she gave us some amazing resources that we wanted to make sure we got into your hands ASAP.
The following resources are meant to help with the stress and anxiety of the present situation we are all in. We have been very clear from the beginning that we are NOT all in the same boat. Some of us have the luxury to be working from home, while others are coming face to face with this virus daily. Some of us are enjoying the extra time with the family, while some of us are in an unsafe or unhealthy home situation. Some of us are making more money, while some are now unable to pay bills. This all creates stress and anxiety even in those of us that have never struggled with those feelings before.
While this will not last, the mental REPERCUSSIONS of it, might.
Please do not ignore the feelings that you experience throughout your day. They can come and go, but just like our physical health, we need to address these issues.
We recommend Christy Walters LPCC at OSU STAR TRC for anyone who is struggling and in need of some help or just a professional to hear you out. Christy is conducting Telehealth services at her practice, but is also willing to help put you in contact with the right person for your needs . For those that would like to set up an appointment, please contact their front office staff Kristina Faria at 614-366-4034 or leave a voicemail for Christy at 614-293-9347.
